Being able to laugh at yourself is important in life!!

So, after a stressful and exhausting day yesterday, I look at today and try to find even the small things in life that make me happy. Besides my awesome family, friends, fiance Robby! and just life in general, I love that I am able to laugh at myself and my quirkiness. So what is it today that I am laughing about? Well, because of my awful day yesterday, I decided to treat myself to a pedicure during my lunch break. It was nice, quiet and relaxing and much needed. I am feeling refreshed and ready to tackle this week! But, when returning, I got so excited that I could cross that off in my daily planner! This is where I can laugh at myself (and I give you permission to as well). See, I am a huge planner (if you can't tell by some of my posts) and I love making to-do lists. LOVE IT. So much so that sometimes I will complete something in the day and think, shoot, I forgot to put that in my planner and I will go write it down just so I can cross it off. Yes, I am crazy!! But I love it. I even love crossing things off!  I love that I am organized. I don't think I could make it in life with my personality if I didn't have some sort of organization. Sometimes its stressful as I can get overwhelmed by my to-do lists and get upset if I don't have enough time to complete something. But, as I have gotten older, I realize there is always tomorrow! So yeah, I got a kick out of crossing off "get pedicure during lunch break" from my planner. I actually laugh almost weekly at this whole process. I know a few people that love doing this too so I'm not the only crazy one out there. :) I have my personal daily/weekly/monthly planner that I carry with me ALWAYS and then there is my work planner. With these 2, it really keeps me busy. Thank goodness being organized is my pretty much what my job entails. Being able to multitasks, schedule and PLAN! with lots of TO-DO lists. So yes, I was able to laugh today.

I feel laughter is so important to a healthy life. You know, I think I was even told one time that for every minute or hour or something you laugh a day, you loose "x" amount of weight. Hmmm, this could work for the both of us!! :)

So, question for those that might be reading this. Have you laughed today? Can you laugh at yourself? Try finding something to laugh at and think about how it makes you feel. :) Thank you God for giving us the ability to laugh and for creating things in our lives to laugh about. I think I am going to try using this strategy towards wedding planning.

Now, just a few hours more hours of work and off to the river to run a few miles with Robby. We have a 5 mile race coming up on Saturday morning. Got to be ready!

Happy Tuesday!
