Another thing checked off my To-Do List

Yes, thats right, I still have a to do list. Can you believe that? Mostly just the small, fun, detailed things but today I was able to check off something big - The Bridesmaids Dresses! I am so excited. It's been tough as I haven't really found anything that jumped out to me. I have gone to a few different stores and looked online but I really wanted to be able to have the girls try them on and see how it actually fits them. A week ago I heard a radio commercial about a new Alfred Angelo dress shop opening up near Perimeter Mall. I immediately went to Google to find out where it was located. After running a couple of errands on Saturday, I made Robby stop by the store so I could look around and hopefully find a few that I liked to have the girls try on. I found 3 styles that were pretty but needed to see them on. I immediately contacted some of the girls that I thought would be able to come over on short notice and made an appointment for Sunday. My 2 cousins were able to make it over as well which was really nice. We found the perfect dress and everyone is going to look gorgeous! I can not wait. I was able to stay in the pink/red/fuchsia family and went with a color called Lipstick. I won't post pictures as I want it to be somewhat of a surprise on the big day but it is definitely a flattering color for all the girls. This was one of the last major things I had to do and it feels great to check it off!! I want to send a HUGE Thank you to my bridesmaids and jr. bridesmaids that were able to make it over there on short notice. It really made it easy and I enjoyed seeing everyone.

Saturday, before the dress shopping, Robby and I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond to register. We had a lot of fun and were able to pick out our everyday dishes as well as our fine china and then of course all the fun kitchen stuff. The funny thing, we picked out the same style as my sister. Great minds (and family) think alike I guess. I remember seeing it from a distance and immediately wanting to get it. Robby told me if he was able to choose the everyday place setting, I could do the fine china. Wooohhooo! That was an easy one. We are so excited with everything we chose. Bring on the showers!! :)

Thanksgiving has come and gone (we hope everyone had a great one with their families) and now Christmas and New Year's are around the corner. Which means we are even closer to May 13, 2011! We will be extremely busy over the next few weeks getting ready for the holidays and the new year and all it will bring to us and our families.

So much to look forward too!!  What a wonderful and productive weekend. We hope everyone else had the same.

  1. We loved registering!! That I think was Bobby's favorite thing so far in the wedding events. Glad you guys are marking things off the list!
