Its that time of year! We love the holidays and spending time with our families.
This year I will be heading up to Abingdon Virginia to spend Thanksgiving with my mom's family. Its been awhile but it was always tradition when we were younger to drive up to Va and spend it at my aunt's house. All my mom's family, cousins, sometimes friends would come in and we would have the biggest spread of food. All of my aunt's and my mom are wonderful cooks! Sometimes we would have 3 turkey's, a ham, tons of dressing, mash potatoes, you name it! And of course, we had to top it off with Aunt Helen's famous homemade Fudge. My brothers and sister and cousins would always look forward to the individual containers of fudge she would give us. I heard she will be making her famous fudge again this year so I look forward to bringing some home for Robby to try. Shaun, Ryan and little Elias will be driving down from Pittsburgh as well so I am looking forward to seeing them. I know Elias has grown so much and I hear he is talking up a storm. It will be a quick trip for my mom and I as I want to get back for the Auburn/Alabama game on Friday afternoon. But it will be nice to see everyone and enjoy spending time with family with some great food!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Looking forward to decorating for Christmas afterwards though :)
