Out with the Old, in with the New... and Fall??

Not to much to blog about this week. We have still been busy, but not exactly sure with what. ha. Time is just flying by and I'm not sure what all we have done. Robby is still training for the Ironman but has decided not to do the one in Ohio that is in Sept. but instead is doing one in October that is in NC. I am feeling much better about this decision. It gives him more time to train and its a shorter drive and we won't have to take as much time off work. Plus I think he would enjoy this one more. I've been super busy with work, which is nice, and taking care of the pups. Besides all that, life is great!

So we finally concluded that we had outgrown our couch in the living room. This is where we spend almost 70% of our time at night and on the weekends. It was just a 3 seater and kind of old and we just didn't have enough room for us to both spread out on it and be comfortable. We decided to start looking for good deals on couches the last few months and finally found one that was affordable and exactly what we wanted. We went to Woodstock Furniture Outlet and made our first big married couple purchase (besides when we bought Bentley :) haha. We LOVE it. It is kind of a bad thing though, for me at least. Instead of coming home and walking the dogs or doing something else, I just want to lay on the couch and not move. Below are some before and after pics.

The Old "leather" sofa   - that is still up for sale, or take, or whatever if anyone wants it :)

The NEW amazing sectional! With more seating so we can have people over now
The room is fairly small so it was hard to get a full shot of how much it opens up the entire space and really makes it look much nicer. We sold the other small couch off craigslist so at least we got some money out of it to put towards this new investment :) I guess thats another reason I haven't blogged all week, we have been enjoying out couch WAY to much and just can't get off of it.

So enough about that. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this or is experiencing the same thing, but it sure does look like our trees are confused. Our entire neighborhood and around our house looks and feels like fall. The leaves have changed colors and are falling all over our yard. Its kind of sad because its still hot outside and not fall yet. I think we might need to rake the yard next week if it keeps up. Here is a picture of just part of our back yard, kinda hard to tell but there are yellow, red and orange leaves everywhere.

Its nice, but I hope we have a long fall this year. Today was just gorgeous. The morning was a cool 60 or 70 degrees with no humidity. Robby went out around 7:30am to the Silver Comet Trail for his 100 mile bike ride. I decided to sleep in some and be lazy. But quickly realized I needed to get moving. I took the dogs to the river where we always go running/walking. We did a nice 2.5 miles and even stopped to get in the Chattahoochee River some. Bentley absolutely love it!! Can not wait to take him to the beach in a few weeks. Gracie started to get in some and enjoyed it too. I wish I could have taken them off the leash to see how they would do but there were to many people there. Maybe next time when Robby goes it will be easier.

Afterwards I took the pups home so they could sleep and met a good friend for lunch that had moved away but was in town for the day. We had a really nice lunch but it was not long enough. So much to catch up on but it was nice to sit outside and not sweat like crazy. I really love my girlfriends!

Tonight I am cooking a new recipe from WW - Mexican lasagna. I hope it turns out as good as it looks and sounds from the recipe. I will take pictures and share the recipe if it does :)

Not to much else this weekend. Just relaxing and enjoying our time off work. Took a few pictures of the pups too. Enjoy!

Oh and I NEVER mention that we have a little cat too. My sweet (when she wants to be) Ella Mae. She stays upstairs and has it all to herself, except at night. But she comes out into the hallway every once in awhile. So I snapped a little pic of her today. Can't forget to leave her out of our little farm over here at the Badger household.

That is all. Hope everyone has a great weekend with this amazing weather!!
