Well it's been about a month since my last post. A lot has happened since then and we have been extremely busy. Tomorrow makes us 90 days from the Big Day! It has flown by and we are in the final stretch now. When I get about 3 calls a day from my mom about wedding stuff, I know we are in crunch mode. There is still a good amount left to do and its about to get crazy. It has definitely been fun and I can't believe it will be here before we know it. Let me see what I can catch you all up on.
Last time we were here, Georgia had just gotten a huge snow storm. We were out of work for about 2 days, the 3rd day I attempted to drive to work because I had lots to do. Work is about 15 minutes from the house and can take me anywhere between 15-25 minutes to get to work on a normal day. Well, the day I tried to get there after the huge snow and ice storm, it took 45 minutes! It was scary. We all survived though.
I was extremely busy at work, getting ready for a show in Orlando. The show went great and I was glad to get home. Except for one thing I must have picked up there, or at the office, or something that was going around everywhere. THE FLU. Three weekends ago we had gorgeous weather, about 70 all weekend. It was beautiful, but of course I got sick. I didn't really realize how sick I was. I knew I felt awful but I can be stubborn when it comes to getting medicine and going to the dr. I decided to go to Kroger and get a thermometer and it told me I had a 103 degree temp. Had that all weekend. Not fun. I had never been that sick in my entire life. I finally went to the dr. and got some great medicine and was starting to feel better after about 2 days. Perfect timing because that weekend coming up was Robby's 29th Birthday!! Unfortunately with being sick for about 6 days, I didn't get to do everything I wanted to for him but I think he had a great birthday weekend anyways. I can save all that for the big one next year though! :) We went out on Friday night with his parents to celebrate with them and then got a bunch of friends together and went to Dave & Busters on Saturday night. It was a blast and love playing all the games and feeling like kids again.
This weekend we are having great weather again, and luckily I'm feeling great to be able to enjoy it. We got up and went running and worked out. Got to look great on our wedding day, right? We are definitely trying but it sure is a lot of work. After lunch we went to Men's Warehouse to get the tuxes picked out and ordered. That was a lot of fun and we picked out a great looking tux. I look forward to seeing Robby on our wedding day, all dressed up and looking handsome. It was nice to get this marked off. Its not that big of a deal but now we can let the groomsmen know to go get measured and they will have plenty of time to handle it all.
On to the fun stuff that I have been waiting for since we got engaged!! Showers are starting to get organized and planned. Really looking forward to celebrating with friends and family. We are so great full to have so many sweet people in our lives that are offering to throw us showers. Its also nice that spring is almost here, love is in the air, and we will be able to break out our cute dresses and celebrate this special time.
Speaking of love - the Horsman family had another exciting event take place, and on Robby's birthday. My little brother, Andrew, who lives out in Kansas, called to let us know that he proposed to his girlfriend Megan!!! We were definitely surprised by this but are very excited for them both. I believe they are waiting until April of 2012 for their wedding day. That gives our mom and dad plenty of time to breathe and get ready for another wedding. Luckily its their son so they won't have to stress out as much as they probably are with our wedding. We can't wait to get out to Kansas for another wedding. Its been a quiet few years for our family, in regards to parties and/or celebrations. Now we get to have 2 back to back. Very exciting!!!
I will try to update more often but as the days get closer and closer, it will definitely be hard. We have a few meetings coming up with our event planner and the design team, we are still working on figuring out where we want to go on a honeymoon, and just trying to make sure we have everything in line for our very exciting day. I can not wait to be married, that is for sure!!
2011 has been a great year so far. Very busy and won't slow down anytime soon. Stay tuned......
