Well, Happy New Year!! Its 2011 already and we have a busy year ahead of us. I haven't blogged in awhile as we haven't really had much going on. Crazy, huh? We are usually so busy and have so much exciting things to talk about and lots of pictures to go with it. I guess with the holidays we didn't have time to take pictures and the time just got away from us. Plus, I am really wanting a better camera. Our pictures haven't been turning out the greatest so I haven't been taking many. Maybe that will be a wedding gift to the both of us. :) We hope that everyone had a great holiday and new year! Any big resolutions out there?? I don't think we really made any resolutions because you end up not keeping them anyways, why not just set goals and dreams to possibly see or experience in the next year. We have also been a little boring over the past few weeks. With snow coming to the south and bitter cold, with nothing to big planned, we just haven't had much to talk about. Maybe you could say we are turning into real adults, learning how to make it day to day when we are married, trying to get our finances in order, working on Robby's house to make it a home for us one day and of course, you can't forget, getting into wedding shape!! We are both, well I should say I am, trying to get back into the training for another half marathon. Robby and I signed up for a half marathon in March sometime last year and of course I have put off the training, until NOW. Robby will be fine as he can pick up the running like its nothing. Me on the other hand, just got to running a 5K (3.1 miles) again last night. And not even running the whole thing. So the next few months we are working on getting into better shape for the wedding as well as being able to run a half marathon in a few months. Will keep you updated on the progress, and if I actually end up running!
On to Wedding stuff!! The fun part, for me at least :) We are on the 4 month countdown now. Almost under the 100 day mark. Robby just LOVES to hear me say this every week or so. I have my first dress fitting next week. I am really looking forward to getting in the dress again and spinning around thinking of my wedding day and Robby's face when he sees me in my dress. I can not wait for that feeling!! We also have a design appointment to go over ceremony decor, reception decor and a few other details for our wedding day. I am really looking forward to that so I can feel like its really all coming together. Most of my bridesmaids dresses have come in so that is comforting to know that they will all have a dress to wear and look beautiful. Next week Robby and I are taking a 2 day Marriage Prep seminar course at my church. They sent us a personality test to take on ourselves and I completed mine today. It was very interesting what it told me about myself. I am really looking forward to seeing and hearing about Robby's responses and what the test says about him. The course should be fun as there will be other couples with us and I think we will really learn a lot about each other, that we don't already know, and how to survive the married life and work together, even with each others quirks! In February we get to meet with our Wedding Planner to go over more details about our big day and everything she will be handling for us. It's been fairly easy so far. The first few months were awful, if you remember my frustration blogs. Now that a lot of the big things have been completed and booked, we are on the down hill slide. I know it will pick up as we get closer and be extremely stressful, as I am a perfectionist when it comes to things I like and if I want it a certain way. But the next few months are what I am looking forward to. Our Showers will start and spring will be here, beautiful weather and dresses! My favorite time of the year. And lets not forget that Robby has a birthday in Feb. and mine is in April so 2 more fun days to celebrate before we become Mr. and Mrs.
Honeymoon - YES PLEASE!! At first, I was not all that excited or really put any thought into our honeymoon. I was thinking about the money we are spending on the wedding and just thought we could do something small and quick to save up for something big in the fall or next year. Now, after talking to some friends, I can not wait!!! Robby and I have been looking around at a few places, from Thailand, yes I said Thailand!! to all inclusive resorts in Mexico or Caribbean. Of course I will be announcing it once we decide on something. That has been fun but we definitely have to make a decision soon as we are getting close!!!
That is pretty much the latest in our lives. Nothing to exciting but we are loving life, excited for 2011 and I know I can not wait for May 13!! It will be here before we know it.
