SNOW DAY 2011!!!!

Well, I was a little skeptical about all this "snow and ice" that the weather people were "threatening" the south with. We all know that the South can be a little over the top when predicting weather. Really, its because we don't have the resources, of enough of them, to handle such a big storm. Or even the small ones. We are known for cancelling school, work and closing all stores with just a threat of snow or ice. In the past it has even been gorgeous and sunny out the next day. So when I heard all the craziness of this storm coming in, I didn't want to believe it until I saw it. I heard from our bosses around mid day on Sunday that our work would be closed. Sweet!! because if it didn't snow then I had a great day off. So of course, we waited and waited and waited on Sunday for the snow to come. I was checking facebook and all kinds of status's were being put up that it was snowing like crazy in Georgia. We had nothing yet! I was getting a little irritated, until....... BLIZZARD of 2011 hit us around 10pm. Maybe a little before but I had gotten so tired of getting up and checking outside that I'm not exactly sure when the storm came in. Its absolutely gorgeous. We probably have 6-8 inches outside and its a good snow too. Perfect for a snowman. Hopefully when Robby takes a break from working at home, we can go out together and build one. Gracie (our dog) and I got out earlier and had some fun. Throwing snow balls at her and watching her run around throwing snow up in the air with her nose made my morning. I took a bunch of pictures because we don't get this very often I have to document it. I felt like a little kid again last night waiting to go to bed so we could wake up and see what all had accumulated over night. I will have to post pictures later on to show you how much the South got!! So much fun. Just a little worried that my dress fitting appointment is going to be canceled tomorrow :( so sad. And our design appointment on Wednesday might have to be rescheduled. Oh well, what a beautiful day and I can't wait to get back out in it. Leaving my snow attire on all day :) and loaded up with some hot chocolate last night so we are good to go to survive this snow storm :)
