Yeah, it's been awhile and what better time to catch up on our exciting, busy lives than during the holidays! And that is what my goal is going to be. Last time I was here, we were going up in a hot air balloon. Sadly, that was about 2 months ago. A lot has happened since then and my goal this week is to catch you up, little by little. There are lots of pictures, so unfortunately we won't be able to post them all on here but you will be able to see what we have been up to the past few months.
Lets see, where to start. What did we do after the hot air balloon ride? I guess Halloween came next. I hate Halloween and trying to decide what to go as. Especially since I do not want to spend money on a costume that I am only going to wear once. Our friend was having a house party so we said we would stop by for a little bit. We did not have a costume idea until about 1 hour prior to going to the party. Thank goodness for facebook and real time updates on that!! It wasn't the greatest idea but it worked. The day started with a trip up to the Apple Orchard in Elijay (crap, that means the Apple orchard came before halloween, I guess I will have to back up on the next post to talk about that, it was amazing and I would love to make that a family tradition every year if possible especially when kids come). Anyways, we had gone up there for a few hours, then went to the outlets in Calhoun and by the time we came home and stopped at a few other stores for some last minute errands, we were exhausted! And still no costumes! Robby ran into a store and I waited out in the car. I was so tired of walking around! Good thing I decided to jump onto facebook and see what the world was up to. My friend had posted a picture of her and her fiance dressed up as Taco Bell Hot Sauces. They looked super cute! And how easy and cheap is that. We ran into Old navy and bought an orange and a red shirt to wear. When we got home, I immediately started cutting out letters from white paper to pin onto the shirts. This is what I came up with. Not bad for a last minute, literally, last minute costume idea. I think people got what we were? lol
And to top it off, we totally stopped by taco bell on the way home and took some pictures. Although I think the people inside thought we were going to rob them or something. We went through the drive through so Robby could order some food and they got a kick out of our shirts so that made it worth it I guess.
Here is Robby in front of Taco bell
So that was Halloween for us. Nothing exciting. We didn't even carve pumpkins this year :( I was a little sad about that since we have carved pumpkins every year since we started dating and made such a fun night out of it. Oh well, next year its back on! We did hand out candy on Halloween night but didn't get to many trick-or-treaters. I wasn't to sad for that. I hated sitting down and then the door bell ringing again and again. But I also don't want to be that family (at least not yet) that sits there with the lights off and hides in the back room. Or the family that just puts a bowl outside and says, PLEASE TAKE ONE, hahaha, we all know we didn't take just one ;)
Sooo, coming up tomorrow - B.J.'s Apple Pickin' Farm, aka - fun times and great memories :) oh and some yummy apples! Here is a little preview...
